Planned service · travel protection information

Start with what your trip involves
A short city break, a long overseas stay and a holiday involving adventure activities can raise different insurance questions. Destination, duration, purpose and the experiences you have in mind all help define what needs checking. Existing arrangements may also have their own conditions. Our planned information service is intended to make those conversations easier to approach. It cannot establish that a policy suits you or that a particular event would be covered.

Read beyond the summary
A product name or a short list of benefits does not explain an entire policy. Limits, excesses, exclusions, eligibility and the circumstances in which a claim may be considered matter. Health disclosures, planned activities and changes to travel arrangements may require specific questions to an insurer or an appropriately authorised adviser. When actual products are available, read their current wording carefully. Nothing on this coming-soon page describes a policy's benefits or confirms any protection.

Know how an actual policy works
If you choose insurance independently, keep the policy documents and the insurer's assistance and claims instructions somewhere you can access while travelling. Understand what information the insurer asks for and which steps apply if something happens. TruTrip does not operate an emergency-assistance or claims service through this site. For an urgent situation, use the appropriate local emergency services and any assistance contact provided by your actual insurer, rather than relying on a general travel enquiry.
